Caught a Ghost landed on my radar due to watching the TV show Bosch. The theme tune Can’t Let Go is catchy and jazzy with a touch of soul thrown in for good measure.
So, it got added to the listen list.
There are a couple more tracks that hit the highs of Can’t Let Go, No Sugar in My Coffee also mixes blues with soulful vocals and a nice beat in the right measure. Sleeping at Night is more upbeat, adding piano into the horns, bass and drums giving it a lighter feeling but keeps it jumping along nicely.
Most of the tracks slip past easily without standing out too much, which is fine but means that it won’t be anything more than
I do like this album but I don’t think that I will be listening to it repeatedly. The repeated listening to Can’t Let Go as theme song will give me enough of Caught a Ghost to keep me going for now. One to keep an eye on as it is pretty close to being a really good album.
